I am an experienced former public sector senior manager who, after joining HM Treasury in 2003 as a Ministerial Assistant, progressed through the grades before moving into local government (Breckland Council) in 2007.
After managing and leading teams across various services, I was appointed as MD of the council’s income generating training consultancy service BTS in 2012. Over the next 8 years, the combination of public sector knowledge, my track record of delivering public services, together with the ability to create totally unique and creative training solutions helped me become one of the public sector’s most inspirational trainers. During this time, I have designed and delivered sector specific management and leadership programmes for the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, Norfolk Police, University of East Anglia, the Local Government Association and over 50% of the country’s local councils.
Along the way, I have gained advanced qualifications in Strategic Management & Leadership, and he is a practitioner of everything EQ.
At home, I volunteer as a community mentor, supporting vulnerable young adults with career coaching. I am an avid golfer (but not a very good one), I adore the football team from my native hometown of Middlesbrough, and I am the proud owner of a Guinness World Record!
